Ingredients:
- Chicken Boneless – 500 gm (cut into stripes)
- Capsicum – 1 (cut into stripes)
- Onion – 1 (cut into stripes)
- Cashew nuts – 10
- Raisin – 10
- Tomato sauce – 2 tbsp
- Soya sauce – 1 tsp
- Shallots(small onion) – 5
- Dry red chili – 3 + 2
- Ginger – 1 inch(cut into Julienne)
- Garlic – 3 cloves
- Egg white – 1
- Cornflour – 1 1/2 tbsp
- Plain flour – 1 tbsp
- Black pepper – 2 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Oil for frying
- Spring onions – 2 sprigs
Method:
- Marinate the chicken in egg white, salt, cornflour, plain flour & pepper.
- Fry the chicken in oil until it gets crisp.
- Grind shallots ,red chili, garlic(2) into a paste
- In another pan add oil, garlic, ginger, shallot paste and saute them until the raw smell goes away.
- To that, add onions and capsicum and continue for a minute.
- Add the chicken, tomato sauce, soya sauce, pepper powder and salt and set the flame to high.
- Fry the cashew nuts, raisins and red chili on another pan with a little oil and put it into the above.
- Once done, serve it with a gentle sprinkling of spring onions.
